This workshop discusses the stressors and resiliency of children who have, or are experiencing parental separation or divorce. It brings awareness to how the experience of separation and divorce is often associated with increases in externalized and internalized behaviour challenges in children, as well as exploring why some children appear to endure the process more easily than others. This workshop applies a functional theory to children's experience of loss and grief centred on separation and divorce in order to provide concrete positive behaviour supports.
