Accelerated learning tools to super charge your students learning. How Homeschooling is not just schooling at home - What is homeschooling? I have spent 9 years working with homeschooling families and delivering up to 50 of the curriculum to their children as part of their program. What I have seen and experienced has altered my view of education dramatically, and changed how I deliver content for ever. In this session we are going to look at some of the big beliefs about learning through story and discussion, to delve deeper into what is possible in a classroom. In our program, we have less than half of the days to deliver full content to our students. And we can do it. This session will look at how we have spent years developing accelerated teaching tools from the research, work with the current psychology on why bigger risk taking in learning leads to quicker results, and how working closer with parents allows us to dial in on struggling learners. Early in my work with the Blended Home Education program, colleagues from other schools often mocked the idea of parents teaching their kids. This session will hopefully give you some new insights into how you can develop competencies in a deep and meaningful way.
