Social Media Addiction is one of the biggest threats to youth mental health today. Canada's social media expert and national award-winning speaker, author, and mental health advocate, Wade Sorochan, provides an informative presentation on the rise of Social Media Addiction causing an anxiety-induced fixation on "LIKES" and "FOLLOWERS" Research now shows that social media addiction is equivalent to an addiction to an illicit drug like heroin. Wade shares the latest information on how the addiction is causing mental health and body image issues along with expert tips on how to recognize addiction symptoms before it causes serious mental health issues. He also shares online safety tips and stresses the importance of balancing the virtual world with the real world.
