Forest Bathing and Earthing may be the latest health trend, but they certainly are not new practices! In this session you’ll gain a clear understanding of what these practices are, what the benefits are, and how You can do them. Learn how the ancient wisdom of spending time in the forest and with your feet on the earth is not only good for your health, but good for your soul! (A great add-on for outdoor education classes and arts-related programs)

Teaching and reinforcing musical concepts, social skills, multicultural music - all of this can happen in the context of music games - and while having fun in the process!! Additionally, games are one of the most effective ways to engage reluctant singers. In this session, Joyce will introduce new game material and some “greatest hits” game activities which will bring enjoyment and learning to your music room.

Listening to music is a key component of music learning - let’s learn how to make it engaging and fun. Joyce will demonstrate ways for you to explore a variety of styles and genres using props and movements to teach and reinforce musical concepts including form, dynamics, and more.

Performances provide music students with many valuable learning experiences, yet they can be a huge source of stress for music teachers. Joyce will present a variety of ideas ranging from quick assembly ideas to full concert performances in this session.

Welcome to Cymatics: the exploration of the shapes of sounds! Our entire reality—even light—is formed from vibration. In this session you will learn how sound effects our world, how even plants and planets make sound, how some sounds stimulate our vagus nerves and encourage immune boosts and healing, a brief history of the study of sound and even some simple experiments you can do with your children to demonstrate the physical nature of sound.

Sound is everywhere—even if you can't hear it—and it is constantly effecting our bodies and our world. Being able to "see" sound drastically changes our perspective of what it is, what it means for us on a day-to-day basis and what it holds for our future. This session comes with some cool projects to do with your class that will change the way your students think about sound.

In this session you will learn how sound effects our world, encourages immune boosts and healing, and some experiments you can do to demonstrate the "physical" nature of sound!
