CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River, the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina, and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree, and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.

Izabella holds an MFA from the New York Academy of Art and a Ph.D. in education from the University of Alberta. Her awards and grants include Winspear Fund Grant and Dahesh Museum Award in New York. Among her commissions are portraits of Lois Hole, former Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, and Dr. Grant MacEwan. She exhibits across Canada and presents at national and international art education related conferences. Izabella has been an art instructor at the Faculty of Extension of the University of Alberta for the past 20 years. She enjoys working as an art teacher for the Edmonton Public School District.
