CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River, the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina, and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree, and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.

Janice Williams is a twice certified science teacher applying her talents in the global education ecosystem as an educational consultant without borders. Her pedagogical expertise resides at the nexus of science education and competency-based education. She has worked with government, in the formal education and not-for-profit sectors as a curriculum architect, resource developer, and learning and performance strategist. Currently, Janice holds the position of National Education Coordinator at the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition.
