CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River, the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina, and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree, and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.

John Oudyk

John has been involved with indoor air quality (IAQ) since the 1980’s (when background CO 2  levels were 330 ppm – now they’re 420 ppm). He participated on the tripartite committee that wrote the Federal
IAQ regulation. He has done about 150 IAQ investigations. Since 1991 he has used surveys to collect
occupant air quality experiences and symptoms in his investigations. He designed a cell phone app
called AirAssess with the help of the CCOHS.
John has studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, and Health Research Methods at
McMaster. He has presented 13 peer reviewed abstracts at various professional conferences and
published two articles on air quality investigation methods. He has worked with the Occupational
Health Clincs for Ontario Workers for 33 years and is a certified occupational hygienist.
