CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River, the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina, and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree, and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.

Sean is a teacher, councilor, mental health/wellness coordinator, and administrator. He has been in the field of education since 1994 having begun his career teaching grades 1 and 2 at Tall Cree First Nation. Since then he continued to teach in First Nations communities for six more years, then entered the public school system in Red Deer teaching in a program for Code 42 behavioral kids, became a school counselor, and then a school administrator. Sean is a firm believer in the human spirit and speaks confidently about resiliency and how to grow it, creativity and how to nurture it, and the value and purpose of diverse, inclusive schools from a HOPEful perspective.
